With hostilities in Lebanon spiraling, the skies of Syria’s western city of Tartus lit up Tuesday night, with heavy regime anti-aircraft gunfire and multiple explosions triggering nationwide alerts of Israeli military action. However, this latest chapter of military action over Syrian skies appeared to result in several successful interceptions — which is not at all the norm when Israeli aircraft or missiles are involved.
